We are seeking a Test Lead for one of our direct client. The Sr. SQA Analysis Services (Test Lead Services) will provide support to the WCS group within the Digital Strategy and Delivery Excellence group. The Sr. SQA Analysis Services (Test Lead Services) will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our cutting-edge web applications, predominantly built with JavaScript and React. You will lead quality assurance initiatives, develop robust testing strategies, and drive the product quality lifecycle from design through deployment. Your expertise in testing frontend and backend systems will be crucial for identifying and resolving critical issues early in the development cycle. Additionally, you will conduct comprehensive product demonstrations, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Develop and Execute Comprehensive Test Strategies:
- Create, document, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Design manual tests to validate functionalities across frontend (UI/UX) and backend services.
2. Collaborate Across Teams:
- Work closely with developers to diagnose, document, and resolve software defects.
- Coordinate with product owner and business stakeholders to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
3. Conduct Product Demonstrations and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Prepare and deliver detailed product demonstrations to both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical details into clear, actionable insights that drive product enhancements.
4. Identify, Report, and Resolve Issues:
- Utilize robust defect tracking tools ADO to log and manage issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Perform regression, integration, and automation testing to ensure product stability and scalability.
- Continuously monitor and analyze test results, logs, and system behavior to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
5. Drive Process Improvement:
- Advocate for and implement innovative QA methodologies that enhance product quality.
- Work proactively in Agile environments to iterate on processes and adapt testing practices to evolving project requirements.
Project Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management information systems or related field.
• Typically requires 5-7 years of manual testing experience and 1-2 years of running automation scripts.
• Deep understanding of modern web development technologies and testing frameworks.
• Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out-of-the-box thinking coming up with creative solutions on testing approaches in critical timelines.
• Proven experience testing both frontend (UI/UX) and backend components.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments – Azure /AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, is important for automation QA roles, as many software development teams follow an Agile approach.
• Work in collaboration with the agile group to document test cases, update test plans in Azure DevOps, create test coverage reports, work in collaboration with test automation group to automate as much tests as possible.
Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, particularly with JavaScript and React-based web applications.
• Proven experience testing both frontend (UI/UX) and backend components.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
• Deep understanding of modern web development technologies and testing frameworks.
• Experience adapting to change quickly, multi-tasking and work under tight deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps as a test management framework.
• Excellent investigative and analytical skills. Ability to translate broad, strategic intent into tactical plans and directions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and quality metrics.
• Constantly seeking new methods and technologies to enhance the QA process.
• Broad testing knowledge and practical experience of industry standards, tools and techniques.
Assets
• Experience working in Financial industries.
• Hands-on experience in Python, automation code deployments or integration test automation.
